Overview


We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various carpentry tasks, including roof assembly, joinery, and fabrication. This role requires proficiency in using both hand and power tools, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.

Responsibilities



Construct and assemble wooden structures, including roofs and frameworks. Perform joinery tasks to create strong connections between different materials. Fabricate custom pieces according to specifications and design plans. Execute painting and finishing work to enhance the appearance of completed projects. Use hand tools such as saws, chisels, and drills with precision. Operate power tools safely and effectively for various carpentry tasks. Conduct electrical installations as required within carpentry projects. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and building codes. Assist in plumb installations to ensure structures are level and properly aligned. Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods. Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches accurately. Familiarity with electrical systems related to carpentry work is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for long periods. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. A valid driving licence may be required for transportation to job sites.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 1 month

Pay: 18.00-23.00 per hour
