Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team, working on super prime, high-end residential projects. The role involves constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures using timber and other materials, with a focus on exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards. Candidates should bring strong technical expertise, knowledge of quality materials, and proven experience in delivering the highest construction standards.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with building regulations and safety standards. Construct and set out frameworks, walls, floors, doorframes, and install fixtures (e.g. windows, mouldings, trims) to technical drawings, gridlines, and datums. Select and verify specified timber and other materials meet project requirements, reporting any issues to site management. Cut, shape, and finish timber and other materials accurately, minimising waste. Inspect, repair, and maintain frameworks, fixtures, and structures to ensure integrity and aesthetics. Plan and complete tasks in line with project timelines and the sequence of follow-on trades. Adhere to all site safety procedures, using protective equipment and maintaining a safe work environment. Carry out quality checks against drawings, gridlines, and datums, escalating discrepancies to the site manager. Work collaboratively with colleagues and other trades to maintain the highest standards of teamwork and workmanship.

Experience & Requirements:

Minimum 5+ years' experience in carpentry and joinery, ideally within high-end residential projects. NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent). Valid PASMA certification and Working at Height training. CITB Health, Safety & Environment (CSCS HS&E Test). Must have own tools and be available to start immediately. Self-employed status through CIS.
