Carpenter

Location: East Anglia (various project sites)
Hours: Full-time

Emmerson Critchley Ltd is expanding, and we are seeking an experienced carpenter to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in projects from start to finish -- ensuring work is delivered on time, to the highest standards, and in line with health & safety requirements.

We specialise in heritage projects, so experience with both traditional and modern techniques would be preferable and highly valued. However, if you've not worked with historic buildings before, training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure work meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards Communicate clearly with team members, clients, and stakeholders Anticipate issues, propose practical solutions, and contribute to the smooth completion of projects Lead by example- be punctual, professional, and proactive

About You

Minimum 5 years' experience in the construction industry Possess your own tools Full driving licence and preferably access to your own vehicle The ability to assess and repair original timberwork while adhering to conservation guidelines Excellent organisational skills Strong attention to detail Confident communicator at all levels Knowledge of health & safety procedures and compliance Practical problem-solver with a "can-do" attitude
