Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in using power tools. This role involves working on a range of projects, from residential renovations to commercial constructions. The Carpenter will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and other materials.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures according to specifications and design plans. Perform joinery tasks including cutting, shaping, and joining materials. Install roofing systems and ensure proper plumb alignment of structures. Utilise power tools safely and effectively for various carpentry tasks. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety regulations at all times. Undertake heavy lifting as necessary during the construction process.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to carpentry work. Knowledge of electrical systems is advantageous but not essential. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Physical stamina and strength for heavy lifting tasks involved in carpentry work. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
