About the opportunity:

We are working as an internal recruitment partner for our client, a professional and supportive family run construction contractor based in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire.

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are presenting an exciting NEW opportunity for an experienced Carpenter to join their team.

As a Carpenter you will take on a varied role fitting kitchens and completing 1st and 2nd fixes for housing renovation projects. Responsible for replacing/installing floorboards, skirting boards, architraves, wooden windows, and any other fixtures that can be included as part of the renovation project including bespoke MDF work.

This role will see you working across various projects (mainly residential) in Cambridgeshire, providing exceptional quality of workmanship and always ensuring your work is completed to the highest standard, within budget and on schedule.

As our valued and trusted employee, we will keep you up to date with the latest training and building regulation amendments.

Requirements:

Who we are looking for:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• City & Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 in Carpentry.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work well and collaborate with other tradespeople.
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to use your own initiative.
• A natural problem solver.
• Well presented with a positive attitude.
• Own tools as these are not provided.
• Hold a full driving licence.
