Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and versatile to join our construction and fabrication team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various trades, including carpentry, joinery, insulating and plasterboarding work. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, ranging from roofing and construction painting to assembly and heavy lifting. The successful applicant will be responsible for executing tasks with precision, adhering to safety standards, and contributing to the successful completion of projects in a timely manner. This position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills across multiple disciplines within the construction industry. It's a self employed role based near to church stretton working on a range of new builds barn conversions and extensions

Responsibilities

Fabricate, assemble, and install components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment. Perform carpentry and joinery tasks with attention to detail and quality standards. Conduct roofing work, including installation and repairs. Assist with plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks. Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining organisational standards on-site. Conduct construction painting to ensure finishes meet project requirements. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks across different trades. Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining safety protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, roofing, plumbing, masonry or electrical work is highly desirable. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual labour tasks. Knowledge of construction painting techniques is advantageous. Experience working with construction materials such as wood, metal, concrete or electrical components is preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Commitment to health & safety regulations on site at all times. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
