We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and be adept at various construction tasks. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.

Duties

Assemble wooden structures and frameworks according to specifications. Fabricate custom woodwork, including furniture and cabinetry. Perform joinery techniques to create strong, durable connections between materials. Carry out masonry tasks as needed for structural support. Conduct painting and finishing work to ensure high-quality aesthetics on completed projects. Install roofing components, ensuring proper alignment and durability. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various carpentry tasks. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety regulations at all times.

Skills

Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to carpentry work. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. Good physical stamina and strength for lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
