Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques, and will be responsible for 2nd fixing through to finals. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting. The Carpenter will work on a variety of projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood. Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications. Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with building codes and safety regulations. Perform joinery tasks to create joints that are strong and aesthetically pleasing. Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques including plumb measurements, joinery, and masonry. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 40 kg) regularly throughout the day. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A valid driving licence Cscs card
