Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry, with the ability to fabricate and assemble structures and fixtures from wood and other materials. This role requires proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as a keen eye for detail to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards. The Carpenter will be responsible for various tasks, including joinery, masonry, and painting, contributing to both residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including frameworks, doors, windows, and furniture. Perform joinery tasks with precision to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. Use power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials. Conduct masonry work as required for specific projects. Carry out painting duties to enhance the appearance of finished products. Ensure all work complies with building codes and safety regulations. Assist in heavy lifting and moving of materials as needed on site. Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Experience

Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with various carpentry techniques and materials. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Experience with heavy lifting and physical stamina for demanding tasks. Knowledge of safety practices related to construction sites is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
