Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with the ability to work with both hand and power tools. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. This role requires a keen eye for detail, physical stamina for heavy lifting, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures using wood, plywood, and other materials. Measure, cut, and shape materials according to specifications. Use hand tools such as chisels, saws, and hammers to complete tasks. Operate power tools including drills, sanders, and nail guns safely and efficiently. Ensure that all work is plumb and level to meet quality standards. Fabricate custom pieces as required for various projects. Assist in roofing tasks as needed, ensuring proper installation techniques are followed. Perform painting and finishing work on completed projects to enhance appearance and durability. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for various tasks. Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations. Experience with masonry techniques is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
