Job Description
We are currently looking for a skilled
Carpenter
to join our team working onsocial housing properties
acrossHackney
. Transitioning to apermanent position at 38,000 per year
for the right candidate.The role involves a mix of
reactive repairs
,maintenance
, and someplanned works
in tenanted and void social housing properties.Key Responsibilities:
Carry out all aspects of 1st and 2nd fix carpentry Install and repair doors, frames, skirting, architraves, and flooring Kitchen and bathroom fitting as required Minor repairs to timber structures Ensure work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations Communicate effectively with tenants and report any follow-up requirements Complete all necessary documentation and job sheets
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Carpenter, ideally within social housing or domestic properties NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry & Joinery (preferred) Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential) Own tools and PPE Good understanding of health and safety regulations DBS check or willingness to undergo one
