Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry techniques, the ability to work with various tools, and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. The Carpenter will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed on time and to specification.

This carpenter role is for someone who is able to work on our project in Hemel Hempstead, HP3 9LR.

Duties

Construct, install, and repair structures such as frameworks, roofs, and partitions. Fabricate custom woodwork and joinery for various projects. Assemble furniture and fixtures according to specifications. Perform masonry tasks as required for specific projects. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Carry out painting tasks as needed to finish projects. Conduct regular maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to complete projects efficiently. Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to carpentry. Strong skills in heavy lifting; ability to lift heavy materials safely. Experience with joinery, roofing, electrical installations, and masonry is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites. Commute ability to Hemel Hempstead HP3 9LR.
