Job Summary:
We are seeking a carpenter improver/trainee to join. As a Carpenter improver/trainee, you will be partnered with myself undertaking 1st fix carpentry works on a New Build construction sites across Essex working under larger carpentry contractors.

Do not worry if you don't have much confidence or experience - this is a training role and will be taught methods as you are working.

Duties:
- Measure, cut, and shape wood materials
- Construct and install frameworks, including Stud Partitions, Joists & deck and roofs
- Installation of Stairs, Front entrance doors, window boards and Canopies -Installation of doors/doorsets, skirting, architrave & balustrades

-Installation of ironmongery, bath panels, locks & latches, loft hatches.

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter improver/apprentice
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
- Some knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical drawings (desirable but not needed)
- attention to detail
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job
- Good communication skills

CSCS card is needed - green card is fine

Must have UTR number & be CIS registered.

Must be able to drive or live in or near Rayleigh

New build carpentry experience is very desirable but not essential

Rates vary dependant on experience - price-work can be discussed

Job Types: Full-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 100.00-150.00 per day
