Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and other material components in a range of building projects. The ideal applicant will have experience with hand tools, power tools, and a strong understanding of construction processes, including roofing, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble bespoke wooden components using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications. Install joinery elements such as doors, windows, cabinets, and other fixtures on-site or in workshop settings. Assist with roofing tasks, ensuring waterproofing and structural integrity are maintained. Perform heavy lifting of materials safely to facilitate installation or assembly processes. Support construction painting, plumbing, masonry, and electrical tasks as required by project scope. Maintain high standards of safety and quality throughout all work activities. Read technical drawings and blueprints to ensure precise execution of projects. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects within deadlines.

Requirements

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, or related trades. Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers. Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, sanders, and grinders. Knowledge of roofing techniques and materials is desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on-site. Basic understanding of construction painting, plumbing, masonry, and electrical systems is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to read technical drawings accurately. Physical fitness suitable for demanding manual work in various weather conditions. Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or joinery are preferred but not essential. Pay: 15.00-30.00 per hour
