We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team on a self employed basis.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in using both hand and power tools.
This role involves working on a range of projects, including roofing, tiling, kitchen fitting, and other joinery.
The Carpenter will be responsible for first, second and finishing works on new residential dwellings.
All work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Construct, install, and repair structures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
Perform roofing tasks including installation and maintenance.
Tiling
Use power tools and hand tools effectively to fabricate materials as needed.
Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square according to specifications.
Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Lift heavy materials as necessary during construction activities.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Carpenter
Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques including joinery and roofing methods.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with construction work.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
