Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various aspects of carpentry and construction, demonstrating proficiency in both 1st and 2nd fix. This role requires to be abla to work off a set of drawings and an ability to work effectively on your own or within the team

Duties

Fabricate and assemble frameworks, and fittings according to specifications on the drawings. Utilise hand tools and power tools proficiently for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials. Perform carpentry tasks including the installation of doors, windows, kitchen and bathroom cabinetry. Execute joinery work with precision, ensuring all joints are secure and aesthetically pleasing. Assist in roofing projects as required, ensuring safety and structural integrity. Carry out heavy lifting as needed for transporting materials and equipment on-site. Engage in construction painting tasks to enhance the appearance of finished products. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including plumbers, electricians, and masons. Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience in the carpentry field is essential. Strong skills in fabrication and assembly techniques. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to carpentry work. Knowledge of carpentry principles and practices is highly desirable. Familiarity with roofing techniques is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Experience in construction painting would be beneficial. Basic plumbing skills are a plus for integrated projects. Understanding of masonry work can enhance versatility on-site.
