We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This role requires a hands-on approach to building and repairing structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
DOOR INSTALLATION / REPAIR
Kitchen repairs/ renewal
window install / repair
Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various carpentry tasks.
Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment.
Execute masonry work as needed, including bricklaying and concrete pouring.
Carry out painting tasks to finish surfaces and enhance aesthetics.
Ensure all installations are plumb, level, and square.
MUSTR HAVE SOCIAL HOUSING EXPERIENCE
Assemble furniture and fixtures according to specifications.
Fabricate custom pieces as per project requirements.
Work on roofing projects, including the installation of trusses and shingles.
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in carpentry or a related field. Familiarity with the following skills is essential:
Proficient use of hand tools such as chisels, hammers, saws, and levels.
Competence in operating power tools including drills, saws, and sanders.
Experience in masonry work is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
Knowledge of basic electrical work is a plus.
Previous experience in roofing projects will be beneficial.
