Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter with expertise in

1st fix and 2nd fix carpentry, roof works, staircases, flooring, and kitchen installations

. The successful candidate must be reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and

own their own tools

. You will work across London construction sites, collaborating with the Site Manager, team members, clients, and designers to deliver high-quality results on time.

Key Responsibilities

Perform

roof works

including joists, firrings, decks, and battens. Carry out

1st fix carpentry

: stud work, partitions, drylining, and metal framing. Complete

2nd fix carpentry

: skirting, architraves, internal doors, and linings. Install

staircases

. Install

flooring

: engineered wood, herringbone, and LVT. Install

kitchens

and associated joinery. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Assist with moving materials on site and maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workspace.

Follow instructions from the Site Manager and collaborate with team members, clients, and designers to meet deadlines.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar construction/joinery role. Skilled in

1st fix, 2nd fix, roofing, staircases, flooring, internal doors, partitions, drylining, metal framing, and kitchen installations

.

Must have own tools

and be proficient in their use. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions. Physically fit and able to handle manual labour. Valid UK driving licence (preferred). CSCS card or relevant construction/carpentry training (advantageous).
