Job Summary

Airport facilities maintenance are looking to hire a carpenter for the Heathrow airport department.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, frameworks, and fixtures according to specifications. Perform joinery tasks, ensuring precision in cutting and shaping materials. Conduct repairs on existing installations. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians and plumbers, to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Engage in heavy lifting as necessary for transporting materials and assembling structures. You will also be required to carry out works at the following locations;
- Heathrow airport

- Stansted airport

- Kings cross

- Bournmouth airport

- Southampton airport

- Norwich airport

- Euro tunnel UK

- Euro tunnel France

Skills and experience

Proficient in the use of hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, and measuring instruments. Experienced in operating power tools Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site. Joinery: 1 year (preferred) CSCS (preferred) Carpentry: 1 year (preferred)

Qualifications

C&G qualified carpenter (cards & certs will be audited prior to this role being offered) Clean criminal record Full UK driving licence CSCS Ability to prove 5 year work history Competent to work alone Able to work cohesively in a team IT literate
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 20.00-23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
