Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various carpentry techniques and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This role involves constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. A commitment to quality workmanship and safety is essential.

Duties

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. Assemble and install cabinets, shelves, drywall, and other fixtures. Perform roof installations and repairs as required. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks. Fabricate wooden structures according to specifications. Conduct joinery work with precision to ensure durability and aesthetics. Plumb structures to ensure they are level and properly aligned. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and drills. Experience with power tools including nail guns, sanders, and routers. Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and carpentry methods. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with roofing systems and installation processes. Basic electrical skills are advantageous for collaborative projects. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 20.00-22.00 per hour
