About Isteni

Isteni is a fast-growing building company in Bristol, specialising in residential and small commercial construction. We deliver high-quality craftsmanship and innovative solutions. We're looking for a skilled carpenter with multi-trade experience.

As the General Builder / Multi Trade, you will play a key role in overlooking the entire project from end-to-end. In this role, you will work alongside with the Site Manager/Director to plan and execute. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee projects from start to finish along side Site Manager & Project Manager
Carry out construction, repair, and maintenance work on buildings and other structures

Use a variety of tools and equipment to complete building tasks

Work from drawings, and specifications to plan building activities

Undertake rip out work, bricklaying, roofing, studwork, boarding, minor plumbing, kitchen installations, bathroom installations etc.

Carry out finishing work, such as plastering, painting, and tiling

Manage the ordering and delivery of building materials and equipment

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

Attend to any maintenance or repair work required on existing structures

Communicate with project managers, clients, and other team members

Select materials and manage orders Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and tradespeople Ensure health and safety compliance Communicate with project managers and team members Travel to job sites as needed

Requirements

Proven experience as a General Builder or similar role

Multi-trade experience, with the ability to undertake a range of building and maintenance tasks

Knowledge of building materials and their properties

Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Strong time management to arrive on site on time and complete tasks efficiently.

Willingness to travel to different jobsites as required

Valid UK driver's license (company car after probation)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 32,000.00-42,000.00 per year
