Job Summary

Barum Construction Ltd require a qualified carpenter for a new project starting in Appledore in September. We are looking for a positive, hardworking and trustworthy team member to join our company starting with this exciting project which is anticipated to last 18 months.

Experience and Duties

NVQ 2/3 in Carpentry in addition to wide ranging carpentry experience. Experience in first fix, second fix, roofing (trussed and cut), historic properties and new-build construction. Experience in other trades is desirable however we are a general building company and everyone is expected to assist with tasks required to get the job done. Excellent attention to detail whilst having the ability to understand timescales and wider project priorities. Driving licence and own transport (free parking on site). Company vehicles may be considered following a successful period a service. Applicants will have their own tools. Ability to follow instructions when required but also to take the initiative and lead on carpentry specific elements when required. Willingness to develop the next generation, to guide and manage an apprentice.

Pay: 16.50-19.50 per hour
