All-Round Carpenter (1st & 2nd Fix / Timber Framing)

We are seeking an experienced All-Round Carpenter to join our team on a commercial new build project in Penzance. The successful candidate will be competent in all aspects of 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, and confident working with timber framing. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship across various stages of the build, working efficiently, safely, and as part of a professional site team.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out 1st fix carpentry works including joisting, studwork, door linings, and flooring.o Complete 2nd fix carpentry tasks such as skirting, architraves, doors, and ironmongery.o Undertake timber framing and structural woodwork as required.o Read and interpret site drawings and specifications accurately.o Maintain a clean and safe working area and comply with site health and safety procedures.o Liaise with site management and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a carpenter in commercial or new build construction.o Competent in both 1st and 2nd fix carpentry and timber framing.o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.o Valid CSCS card (essential).o Own tools and PPE.o Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality finishes.
Desirable:

Experience on commercial sites or large-scale builds.o Driving licence and reliable transport.o Knowledge of current building regulations and best practices.
