supports our mission by maintaining and enhancing our care environments through high-quality carpentry work. From repairing and constructing furniture to ensuring safe and durable surroundings, you'll play an essential part in creating spaces that reflect our values of care, safety, and excellence.

Responsibilities



Construct, repair, and install wooden structures, furniture, and fixtures within Serenity Specialist Care facilities. Carry out maintenance tasks to ensure all wooden fittings and furnishings are safe and functional. Collaborate with the maintenance and facilities teams to plan and complete carpentry projects efficiently. Inspect existing woodwork for wear, damage, or safety issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Follow health and safety standards to maintain a safe working environment for residents and staff. Ensure all work aligns with Serenity Specialist Care's quality and care standards. Maintain records of materials used, repairs completed, and timeframes. Participate in training and development to stay updated on carpentry best practices and safety regulations.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a carpenter or in a similar trade role. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Good problem-solving and time-management skills. Understanding of health and safety standards in a care environment. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Carpentry or Joinery (preferred).
