Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and the ability to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial. This role requires proficiency in using power tools, performing heavy lifting, and executing tasks with precision. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.

Responsibilities

Construct and install frameworks, structures, and fixtures using wood, plywood, and other materials. Perform joinery tasks to create strong connections between different components. Execute roofing tasks, ensuring proper installation and alignment. Use power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials. Carry out masonry work as needed for various projects. Assist with electrical installations when required. Ensure all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety. Maintain a clean and organised work environment. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in using various power tools and hand tools relevant to carpentry. Knowledge of painting techniques is advantageous. Experience in masonry is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job. Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay: 14.87-26.94 per hour
