CARPENTER

Here at Emerald House Associates we work alongside the most prestigious beauty, cosmetic and jewellery houses to design, manufacture and install point of purchase displays in department's stores and airports throughout the UK. We are currently looking for highly skilled carpenters in POS/POP display to join our team

We are looking to take on an experienced Carpenter ideally with knowledge of the retail display sector to join our team.

Job purpose:

To work within a professional, high- quality workshop building MDF and laminated units used in promotional displays.

Requirements

Key responsibilities:

Build MDF POS unitary

Must be able to laminate

Must be able to read technical drawings

Will be required to have your own kit

To work to strict production deadlines

To produce unitary with workshop machinery and hand tools to technical plans provided

To keep working area clear and tidy and free from hazards

To help mentor/supervise carpentry apprentices and assist in widening their knowledge and skills

To work within health and safety guidelines

To support production manager and other carpenters where necessary

To assist with on-site installation tasks where required

To complete all other reasonable tasks as necessary

Qualifications/Requirements:

Attention to detail

Good timekeeping

Be able to work on own initiative

To have a flexible approach to bench work

Extensive carpentry experience

Would be expected to have own hand tools

Positive attitude

Pay is negotiable based upon experience

Overtime is payable at enhanced rates

20 days holiday per year plus bank holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 15.00-17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
