Job Description

:

examines drawings and specifications to determine job requirements; selects and measures appropriate wood and cuts, shapes and drills to specification using saws, planes, chisels and other power or hand tools; aligns and fixes prepared wood pieces by screwing, nailing, gluing and dowelling to form frames, shop fronts, counter units, decking, theatrical sets, furniture, small wooden craft, scale models and wooden templates; checks accuracy of work with square, rule and spirit level; Preparing drawings for corner sofas, 3 piece sofas, foot/rest stalls; Liaising with clients to prepare sofas and obtaining materials from suppliers; Sourcing timber by size, strength and budget for sofas; Performing finishing on the sofas, sofas beds, chairs, foot/rest stalls. Preparing and finishing customised sofas, sofas beds, chairs for clients; Ability to speak in English, Urdu and Punjabi to deal with our diverse clients; Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails to assemble a sofas, sofa beds, chairs.
Skills Experience:

Previous experience of drawings for corner sofas. Previous experience of preparing customised sofas. Previous experience of 4 years of preparing customised sofas. Ability to speak in English, Punjabi and Urdu
