Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and be proficient in using both hand and power tools. This role involves constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The Carpenter will work on various projects, including roofing, joinery, and masonry tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Construct, install, and repair structures such as roofs, frameworks, and cabinetry. Assemble furniture and fixtures according to specifications. Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks. Execute joinery work with precision to ensure durability. Carry out painting tasks as needed for finishing touches on projects. Fabricate custom pieces based on project requirements. Maintain a clean and organised work environment. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project completion within deadlines.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Strong knowledge of roofing techniques and materials. Experience in joinery, painting, and masonry is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with carpentry work. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality results. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Valid driver's licence may be required for transportation to job sites.
