Job Summary

Due to the growth and success of our SD&B business we are now looking for new team members. We have a number of new opportunities for carpenters & general builders with plenty of experience in construction & renovation to join our team full time.

Must work to a high standard and be proficient and confident in first and second fix carpentry, roofing, conversions, renovations and extensions. The knowledge and ability to undertake and/or assist in other trades essential.

We're looking for someone with a good attitude to their work, a team player with a willingness to muck in with the rest of the trades on-site to get the job done.

This role could be suited to an experienced carpenter that is keen to get involved with the entire construction process, experienced carpenter / builder that already has the knowledge, or indeed an experienced general builder / all rounder.

Pay negotiable based on experience/quality.

Duties

Work with other skilled tradesmen and labourers on large renovation projects working from drawings confidently.

Perform joinery tasks, including fitting doors, windows, and cabinetry, kitchens included

Carry out masonry work such as bricklaying and stonework (not compulsory).

Carry out drainage projects.

Work on roofing projects, ensuring proper installation and waterproofing.

Work on structural renovation projects moving walls and installing supporting beams.

Ensure all work is plumb, level, and in accordance with building regulation.

Must have a valid driving license & transport to and from site.

Skills

Proficient in carpentry, drainage, tacking, masonry, roofing, window and door fitting, flooring, remodelling.

Strong understanding of building regulations and safety standards.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship - ESSENTIAL.

Good physical fitness as the role requires lifting materials and being on your feet most of the day.

Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and clients.
