Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction and a variety of building techniques. you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and maintaining structures, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This is a self employed role and will Require your own van and tools. Tasks will vary from 1st and second fix carpentry to insulating and plaster boarding. Our work varies from new builds, barn conversions to renovation jobs.

Responsibilities

Construct and assemble building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes. Perform joinery tasks to create custom fittings and fixtures. Use power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and fabricate materials. Engage in masonry work to build structures such as walls and pathways. Install roofing systems and ensure proper drainage solutions are in place. Execute heavy lifting tasks as required for transporting materials and equipment. Carry out painting duties to finish surfaces and enhance aesthetics. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times on-site.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools effectively and safely. Strong skills in joinery, carpentry, roofing, and general building. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the workday. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. A valid construction-related qualification or certification is advantageous but not essential.
