We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Joiner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with the ability to fabricate and install various wooden structures. This role requires proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as the capability to perform heavy lifting and work on roofing projects. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship are essential for success in this position.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture. Carry out joinery tasks with precision, ensuring all measurements are accurate. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete projects. Perform heavy lifting as required during the construction process. Conduct painting and finishing work to enhance the appearance of completed projects. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the duration of each project.

Experience

Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter is essential. Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and materials used in construction. Familiarity with roofing systems is advantageous. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Experience in using various hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for this role. A valid driver's licence may be required for transportation to various job sites.
