Duties
Measure, cut, and assemble timber frames for beds according to production drawings and specifications
Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and accurately
Inspect completed frames for quality control and ensure consistency in output
Collaborate with the production team to meet daily and weekly targets
Use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely to complete tasks.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
Skills
Proven experience as a carpenter, ideally in a furniture or bed manufacturing setting
Strong skills in framing, cutting, measuring, and wood joining techniques
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Good attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
Physically fit and capable of handling heavy materials
Understanding of health and safety standards
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry or relevant experience (preferred)
Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and drills.
Experience with power tools including staples/nail guns, sanders, and saws.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
