Job Overview:

Meehan Construction limited are looking for an individual who can work on their own as well as in a team completing carpentry and joinery work on various sites.
We are seeking an individual who has good all round general building knowledge to join our team. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for undertaking:

1st fix work such as stud walls, tacking, joisting and flooring.

2nd fix work such as hanging internal doors, fitting door frames, installing ironmongery and fitting skirting and architraves.

kitchen fitting - installation of pre-made kitchen carcasses and units, fitting worktops, pelmets and intergrated appliances.

Bespoke cabinet manufacture - you will be asked to build units, such as wardrobes and cabinets from MDF using tools and machinery on site i.e track saw and router.

Duties:
- Read and interpret Drawings to understand project specifications
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools or power tools
- Assemble and fasten materials together to construct wood or metal framework of structures
- Install items such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim
- Repair or replace damaged framework or other structures, using window care repair resin to carry out external repairs and timber splices.

Requirements:
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to use your own initiative and be able to problem solve.
- Experience in carpentry or joinery work is essential
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in workmanship
- Good Physical strength and stamina for lifting and carrying of materials
- Excellent problem-solving skills

- MUST HAVE A VAN/ BE ABLE TO PICK UP MATERIALS
