We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Joiner to join our construction and manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and composite structures. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry, joinery, and the safe operation of hand and power tools. The ideal applicant will have experience in construction environments, with the ability to undertake heavy lifting and work on diverse projects including roofing, plumbing, masonry, and electrical tasks. Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble bespoke wooden components using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques
Install structures such as doors, windows, partitions, and customised fixtures on-site or in workshops
Perform carpentry tasks including cutting, shaping, and fitting materials accurately to specifications
Assist with roofing projects by installing trusses, sheathing, or other roofing components
Conduct construction painting, plumbing installations, masonry work, and electrical tasks as required
Undertake heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to ensure smooth workflow
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to uphold health and safety standards
Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion
Follow technical drawings and specifications meticulously during fabrication and installation processes
Qualifications
Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry or joinery within construction or manufacturing sectors
Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, chisels, etc., as well as power tools including drills and saws
Knowledge of roofing techniques, plumbing systems, masonry work, electrical wiring or related trades is desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the working day
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in measuring and fitting components accurately
Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are advantageous but not essential
Good understanding of health & safety regulations relevant to construction sites
