Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing a variety of wooden and other materials in both residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities

Fabricate bespoke joinery components using hand tools and power tools, ensuring precise measurements and quality finishes. Assemble structures such as furniture, cabinets, window frames, doors, and other wooden fixtures. Install joinery products on-site with attention to detail and adherence to safety standards. Assist with roofing tasks, including fitting roof trusses or battens where required. Perform heavy lifting of materials and components safely during construction or renovation projects. Carry out construction painting, masonry work, plumbing, or electrical tasks as needed within the scope of the role. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly after use. Follow project specifications and drawings accurately to meet client expectations. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure timely project completion.

Experience

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and installation within carpentry or joinery roles. Skilled in using hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, screwdrivers, as well as power tools including drills, saws, and sanders. Knowledge of roofing techniques and heavy lifting procedures. Familiarity with construction painting, masonry work, plumbing systems, electrical wiring or other related trades is advantageous but not essential. Previous experience working on residential or commercial sites is preferred. Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately. Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and safety compliance.
