Experienced Multi-Skilled Carpenter (Self-Employed)

JD Carpentry & Joinery is looking for a competent, reliable, and multi-skilled carpenter to join us on a self-employed basis, with ongoing work available across Peterborough and the surrounding areas.

Role & Responsibilities

You will be working on a variety of domestic projects, including but not limited to:

First and second fix carpentry Fitting new doors into existing linings Kitchen fitting Custom-built bedroom furniture, including wardrobes Decking and external carpentry General joinery and high-quality finishing work
Work will be mainly within occupied homes, so a high standard of workmanship and a professional attitude are essential.

Requirements

Proven experience as a carpenter/joiner Fully competent in both first and second fix work Ability to fit doors into old linings to a high standard Experience with kitchens, decking, and bespoke fitted furniture Self-employed Own tools and transport Full UK driving licence Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Good communication skills and a tidy approach to work
