We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team at Kench Construction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various aspects of joinery and construction, demonstrating proficiency in both fabrication and assembly. This role requires a hands-on approach, with the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools to create high-quality structures and fittings.

Responsibilities

Experience with 1st and 2nd fix carpentry. Kitchen fitting. Decking including framework. Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, frameworks, and fittings according to specifications. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete joinery tasks. Perform carpentry work including the installation of doors, windows, and cabinetry. Execute roofing tasks as required, ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld. Engage in masonry work as needed for various projects. Perform heavy lifting as part of the assembly process while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion within deadlines.

Qualifications

Proven experience in joinery, carpentry, or related fields is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks associated with construction work. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
