Key Responsibilities
Supply and install or fit pre-fabricated wooden elements including doors, frames, skirtings, and other finishing details.
Carry out high-quality finish carpentry within classrooms, corridors, and communal school areas.
Read and work from technical drawings, ensuring installations are accurate and aligned with specifications.
Collaborate with on-site teams including other trades to meet project timelines.
Work in compliance with all relevant health and safety standards, especially those required on active school sites.
Maintain a safe, tidy, and respectful work environment appropriate for school settings.
Requirements
Proven experience in joinery or carpentry (experience in schools or public buildings preferred).
Ability to work efficiently using both hand tools and power tools.
Knowledge of construction principles including accurate plumb and level installation.
Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality finishing.
Valid DBS enhanced preferred.
Ability to interpret and follow technical drawings and specifications.
Public liability insurance (required for subcontractors).
Own tools and transport preferred.
