Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of joinery and carpentry, demonstrating proficiency in fabrication and assembly. This role requires a hands-on approach, working with both hand and power tools to create high-quality wooden structures and fittings. The Joiner will be responsible for ensuring that all work meets the required standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including frameworks, doors, windows, and furniture. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Perform roofing tasks as required, ensuring proper installation and weatherproofing. Engage in construction painting to finish projects to a high standard. Assist with plumbing and masonry tasks as needed within the scope of joinery work. Lift heavy materials safely and efficiently during the construction process. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools are stored correctly after use. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion within deadlines.

Experience

Proven experience in joinery or carpentry is essential. Familiarity with fabrication techniques and assembly processes is highly desirable. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade. Experience in roofing, heavy lifting, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, or electrical work will be considered an asset. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
