Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role involves constructing, assembling, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The Joiner will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail in all projects.

Duties

Operate power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble materials. Fabricate and install wooden structures such as frames, doors, windows, and furniture. Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and completed projects. Conduct masonry work as needed for specific projects. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians and roofers, to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to complete tasks accurately.

Experience

Proven experience as a Joiner or in a similar carpentry role is essential. Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and machinery related to joinery. Experience with heavy lifting tasks associated with construction projects. Familiarity with electrical installations is an advantage. Knowledge of roofing techniques is beneficial but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
