Carpenter/Joiner - Self-Employed

About Us:

Threds Construction is a reputable construction company based in Whitstable, Kent, specializing in high-quality residential and commercial refurbishments. We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable carpenter/joiner to join our team, for ongoing work in the South East and rest of the UK.

Role Overview:

You will be a part of a team carrying out various construction work on both commercial sites and residential properties, the work will mainly consist of strip out and refurbishment works. This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out a range of carpentry work Ensuring all work meets health and safety regulations and quality standards Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Complete on site forms when required Communicate effectively and work closely with site management and other trades Ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard Perform high-quality carpentry work such as: partitioning, bar construction, flooring installation, custom joinery work, wooden fixture and fitting fabrication.

Requirements:

Must be willing to work away (when required)

Self-employed Minimum 3 years' experience in carpentry, ideally in refurbishments or fit outs High quality workmanship and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must have your own tools, PPE and vehicle Must be reliable, punctual, and professional Valid full, clean UK driving license City & Guilds or equivalent in carpentry/joinery Good spoken English Eligible to legally work in the UK CSCS (preferred) Must be willing to travel to the yard/site daily
