Job Description

Houghton & Son Ltd is a family-run construction company based in Chelmsford, delivering high-quality building, electrical and retrofit projects across Essex and the South East. We work closely with local authorities, housing associations and private clients -- and we're now looking for an experienced Multi-Trade Carpenter to join our team.

The Role

You will carry out a wide range of carpentry and multi-trade works, mainly within occupied and void social housing properties. Works will include:

First and second fix carpentry Kitchen and bathroom installations Door hanging, skirting, architraves, boxing-in Basic plumbing, plaster patching and decorating General maintenance and repair works

Requirements

Proven experience as a Carpenter or Multi-Trade Operative Own vehicle and tools Good communication skills and professional attitude when working in occupied homes Ability to work independently and to a high standard
