Duties

Assemble and fabricate wooden structures, including roofs, frames, and cabinetry. Perform joinery tasks such as cutting, shaping, and fitting materials to create precise joints. Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various carpentry tasks. Conduct plumb checks to ensure structures are level and properly aligned. Carry out heavy lifting as required during the construction process. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including electricians for integrated projects. Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Undertake painting and finishing tasks as needed to enhance the aesthetic appeal of completed projects.

Skills

Proven experience as a carpenter or in a similar role within carpentry and joinery. Proficient in the use of power tools and woodworking machinery. Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and carpentry principles. Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods. Good problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site. Effective communication skills for working collaboratively with team members.
