Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable fit person to join our team. Driving license preferred as early starts are required or local walking distance to our company on Torrington Avenue Coventry.. Practical skills are required as it involves cutting carpet on a machine and using tape measures/ Carpet Knives The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse and will also go on site assisting with laying flooring at event venues over the UK

This position involves being part of a dynamic team with very good future prospects The ideal candidate will be comfortable with heavy lifting and possess a strong attention to detail

Duties

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. assisting with on site operations at event venues in UK Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and locations. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying orders against packing lists. Conduct materials handling activities, ensuring products are stored correctly in designated areas. Carry out regular inspections of warehouse equipment to ensure safety standards are met. Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required, adhering to safe lifting techniques.

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous; relevant training will be provided if necessary. Basic maths skills are required for inventory management and order verification. Experience with shipping and receiving processes is beneficial. A background in materials handling or warehouse management systems would be an asset.
