Caseworker Team Lead

Brotherton, North Yorkshire - Leeds, United Kingdom

Job Description

About The Charity:

Day One is a young, ambitious national charity dedicated to supporting people impacted by serious or multiple injuries which could result in life changing consequences such as disability or death, referred to in the NHS as Major Trauma. We deliver our mission to help anyone affected by major physical trauma piece their life back together, from day one and for as long as it takes, through our core Caseworker, Peer Support and National Offer service models. Inspired \'by patients for patients\' our vision is that no one has to piece life back together on their own after catastrophic injury.

About The Role:

You will lead, support and develop a team of passionate and committed Caseworkers based in Major Trauma Centres across the north of England, driven to make a difference to the recovery of those impacted by catastrophic injury. You will be responsible for the delivery of Day One\'s remote National Offer, drive casework performance and quality, and be the organisation\'s Safeguarding Lead. Our Day One Caseworkers work alongside NHS Clinicians, embedded as part of the team within Major Trauma Centres, to provide practical, emotional and financial support to adults and children as well as their families and loved ones. Our National Offer is a UK wide, remote, signposting and support service delivered through our dedicated email, phone line and via our online referral form.

About You:

With previous experience of team leadership, safeguarding and service delivery you will be motivated to directly support those affected by catastrophic injury. Outcomes and solution focused, you will be a proactive and resilient organiser, who understands the importance of confidentiality and professional boundaries.

What We Offer:

  • 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays and an additional day off on your Birthday
  • Pension with 5% employer contribution
  • Employee Assistance Programme & wellbeing support
  • Ongoing training and development
