Job Summary



GigaLegal Solicitors is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Business Immigration Caseworker

to join our dynamic and growing team at our Dagenham branch, RM10 9UR (casework unit). The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting corporate clients and skilled individuals with a wide range of UK business immigration matters. This includes sponsorship licence applications, Skilled Worker visa processes, compliance audits, and ongoing client support.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, a solid understanding of UK immigration rules, and a genuine passion for helping businesses and professionals successfully navigate complex immigration procedures. You will be expected to manage case files independently, liaise with clients and the Home Office, and provide accurate legal advice under the supervision of experienced solicitors.

Responsibilities



Handle a full caseload of business immigration matters, including sponsor licence applications, Skilled Worker visas, Global Business Mobility routes, and other work-related visa categories. Advise corporate clients on sponsor compliance duties and UKVI policy guidance. Prepare and submit high-quality immigration applications to the Home Office, ensuring all supporting documents are complete and accurate. Liaise with clients to gather information, provide updates, and offer ongoing guidance throughout the application process. Conduct initial consultations under supervision and assess client eligibility in line with current immigration rules. Draft legal representations, covering letters, and client care documents with attention to detail and accuracy. Monitor changes in immigration legislation and case law relevant to business immigration and keep the team informed. Manage case files using case management systems and ensure all client records are up to date. Collaborate with solicitors and senior caseworkers on complex or high-value immigration matters. Participate in internal training, team meetings, and contribute to firm-wide knowledge sharing.

Skills



Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records and documentation. Empathy and understanding of diverse backgrounds and challenges faced by clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: 23,000.00-35,000.00 per year
