What you'll be doing




As a

Claims Negotiator

you will proactively manage and resolve motor claims to achieve monthly pledge and cash collection targets, ensuring timely and effective negotiation in line with service standards, financial objectives, and operational priorities. You will be required to attend the Fort Dunlop office for a minimum of two days per week.



investigate causes of non-payment delays and resolve promptly review case history, liaising with internal departments as needed to establish status update BackOffice with accurate clear records of discussions, next steps and time frames review file, location, and road layout of accidents, speaking with clients and witnesses if liability is disputed consult with Team Leader over findings and next steps if necessary produce a chronology of events through liaising with repairers and insurers if hire period is disputed, making recommendations reinforce payment criteria set out by ABI (Association of British Insurers) if vehicle rate or penalty for late payment charge is disputed push for commitment from TPI for payment and make recommendations to Team Leader when litigation should commence agree all under recoveries with Margin Protection Team observe and comply with GDPR achieve objectives and targets set carry out reasonable tasks as requested by your Line Manager.

What you'll bring



demonstrable high-volume business to business debt collection experience experience of working within a fast-paced target driven environment excellent verbal communication skills, persuasive and assertive good written communication skills, able to capture a clear logical summary of situations proven negotiation skills ability to prioritise, recognising importance and urgency and work to tight deadlines results driven and able to work under pressure work on own initiative as well as support team and departmental goals and objectives competent with MS Office knowledge of the ABI, GTA (General Terms of Agreement) would be advantageous but not essential adaptable, tenacious self-starter who is results orientated demonstrate behaviours in line with our Company values; Inspired to Innovate, Always Respectful, Fully Accountable and Delivering Delight.
