Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and courtesy.

Duties

Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately. Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, providing information about products and services. Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain an organised checkout area, ensuring it is clean and stocked with necessary supplies. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and effectively. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering calls related to customer queries. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and security.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Cashier or in a customer service role is preferred but not essential. Strong basic maths skills to ensure accurate transaction processing. Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently. Organisational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A friendly disposition with the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
