We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include handling transactions, assisting customers with their inquiries, and promoting products through effective upselling techniques. Duties
Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their purchases.
Process transactions accurately using the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit payments.
Maintain a clean and organised checkout area to enhance the customer experience.
Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products through upselling.
Answer customer queries in person or over the phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations.
Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels as required.
Experience
Previous experience in a customer service or cashier role is advantageous but not essential.
Bilingual or multilingual skills, particularly in English, are highly desirable to cater to our diverse customer base.
Strong time management skills to handle peak periods effectively.
Basic maths skills for accurate transaction processing.
Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
