Cashier / Receptionist - Restaurant

About the Role

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and customer-focused

Cashier/Receptionist

to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

You will be the first point of contact for our guests, handling reservations, billing, and ensuring smooth front-of-house operations.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests with a warm, professional attitude Manage reservations, phone calls, and walk-in customers Handle billing, POS transactions, and cash management accurately Coordinate seating arrangements and support the front-of-house team Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception/cashier area Assist with takeaway or delivery orders when required Communicate customer needs or concerns to management Ensure excellent service standards at all times

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality

(restaurant, cafe, or hotel environment) Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to handle cash, card payments, and POS systems confidently Professional appearance and positive attitude Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills (email, booking platforms, POS) Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy periods

Preferred Languages

English (required) Hindi / Gujarati (preferred)
